TERESA AQUINO (Ms. Aquino) Guide

Teresa, a Montessori child herself, graduated from college with a B.A. in Psychology from De La Salle University in Manila. There she taught Montessori for four years before moving to the United States and obtaining her AMI Primary diploma from the Ohio Montessori Training Institute. She joined BGMS in 1999. Teresa enjoys traveling and the performing arts.
MANUELA NIÑO (Ms. Manuela) Assistant to Ms. Aquino
Manuela attended high school while still living in Mexico, and attended Eastfield College in the US, studying Computer Programming. She has lived in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, South Carolina and now Dallas. She has three children, five grandchildren and two adopted grandchildren. She enjoys reading, crocheting, walking, swimming and doing volunteer work. Manuela loves working with children, and spent many years working as a nanny.
KIM ALTMEYER (Ms. Kim) Guide

Originally from the DFW area, Kim has a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of Texas at Arlington and received her AMI Primary Diploma from the Sydney Montessori Teacher's College in Sydney, Australia. In 2009, she received a Master's of Education (with a focus on Montessori) at Loyola University in Baltimore, and for ten years was the Course Assistant at the AMI Montessori Training Center in St. Louis. Kim loves to travel and enjoys nearly any outdoor activity, especially water sports.
AMINA HAKIM (Ms. Amina) Assistant to Ms. Lucy
Amina has been a substitute at BGMS for the past two years. She has a B.S. in Business from the University of Karachi in Pakistan. Amina and her husband, Mohammad have two children, a son who is in his final year of Medicine at UT Southwestern and a daughter who has a Masters in Health Administration. She enjoys reading, writing, and traveling.
FAWZIA HASSAN (Ms. Fawzia) Guide

Fawzia received her B.A. from Karachi University and her AMI Primary Diploma from the Montessori Training Center in Karachi, Pakistan. She moved from her home along the Arabian Sea to Texas in 1992, toured many Montessori schools, discovered BGMS and has been here since 1993. Fawzia enjoys music and is fluent in both Urdu and English.
YAMUNA PERERA (Ms. Yamuna) Assistant to Ms. Fawzia
Yamuna attended the University of Columbo in Sri Lanka and also Bauder Fashion College in Arlington where she obtained an Associate Degree in Fashion Design. She worked for seven years at the Amerasian International Private Limited and later graduated from a Montessori training program in Sri Lanka. Yamuna joined BGMS in 2006.
RAANA SAIYED (Ms. Raana) Guide

Raana has 14 years of experience in her BGMS Primary class, first as assistant, then co-guide, and now guide. She received her AMI Primary diploma from the Montessori Institute of North Texas (MINT) in Dallas in 2007. Raana has a B.A. in Psychology from Government Women’s College in Karachi, Pakistan and an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Karachi. She enjoys traveling, family outings and reading.
NORA ZUREIKAT (Ms. Nora) Assistant to Ms. Raana
Nora is from Kosova, Europe. She has been part of BGMS 2 years, and is honored to be a part of our school. She received her B.A. in Health and Human Services/Education in Georgia, and has worked in Pediatrics Neuropsychiatry in Florida and schools with various age groups throughout most of her career, worldwide. Her two daughters, both of whom attend BGMS, and her husband are her life, joy and greatest accomplishments.
