The Mission of The Barbara Gordon Montessori School is to Guide, Nurture and Support the Development of the Full Human Potential. 

The Barbara Gordon Montessori School has a long-standing reputation for its dedicated and highly qualified faculty and staff. Guides attend a rigorous graduate program at an Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) training center and are members in good standing of AMI and AMITOT (AMI Teachers of Texas).

Apart from their many academic accomplishments, it is the heart and spirit of this team that forms the foundation of the tradition of excellence that BGMS students have enjoyed for so many years.  Their dedication to the students, support of the parents and synergy as a group make them exemplary models of the tenets of Montessori philosophy.

The Barbara Gordon Montessori School educates the whole child, nurturing the love of learning that lies within.  The work of the children reveals curiosity, involvement, creativity, thoughtfulness, enthusiasm, and self discovery - all facets of learning that the Montessori philosophy develops so fully. Following the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori, an atmosphere for personal growth is created and children blossom in this environment.
