Adolescent Program

12 - 14  years

Mon-Fri, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

The Adolescent Program is guided by Maria Montessori’s vision of a horticulture-based community as an optimal place for adolescents to unlock their potential as self-motivated, independent, and fulfilled young learners.  The vision is built according to Maria Montessori’s concept, focused on human interdependency with the natural world.  Engaged in horticulture, in cooperation with area institutions and museums, students will experience practical roles that integrate and engage academic studies, while building a greater connection to society and the world.  The Adolescent Program represents the apex of development that begins with Infant-Toddler Community (1½-3), Primary (3-6), continues through Lower Elementary (6-9) and Upper Elementary (9-12), and culminates with the Adolescent Community.
